Welcome

Discover one of the most inspiring places you are ever likely to see…

Join us on a tour of the enigmatic 15th century Rosslyn Chapel, with a trail of the beautiful Rosslyn Glen & Castle.

Rosslyn Chapel, where work begun in 1446 by Sir William St.Clair, 3rd and last Prince of Orkney, lies 7 miles south of Edinburgh. Our tour guide, who is local to Roslin and has a deep interest in the chapel, can take you on a tour, pointing out stonework that might otherwise be missed. See the famed apprentice pillar and the unique barrel vaulted roof that is elaborately carved with flowers and stars. Discover the Dance of Death, “Dance Macabre” and King Robert the Bruce’s Death Mask.

There’s also plants from the new world such as corn, cacti and aloe and many more carvings with several layers of meaning and hidden symbolism.

This magical, medieval chapel has seen a surge in visitor numbers thanks to Dan Brown’s best selling novel, “The Da Vinci Code”.
